About the fox (taken from the myspace page.)
Conceived by rock n' roll, born the bastard child of punk; raised on streets filled with trash, worshipped on the altar of rock and welded to the engine by metal...!!! Ladies and gentlemen, we give you the infamous INTREPID FOX... From it's beginnings in the heart of Soho in the sixties, once patronised by the likes of Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood, hellraising actors Richard Harris and Peter O'Toole; the seventies led to the Sex Pistols and Malcolm Mclaren proclaiming it "like an old friend"; Slash could be seen propping up the bar in the eighties whilst the nineties provided a watering-hole for such legends as Lemmy and Zakk Wylde... Re-located to it's new lair in St Giles in 2006, the Fox continues to uphold the alternative spirit, playing host to Iron Maiden, Bullet For My Valentine, Buckcherry, Zodiac Mindwarp and Backyard Babies to name a few, always providing a safe haven for London's rockers and goths, punks and metallers alike. Always entertaining and fun, frequently deranged n' impossibly handsome the wily old Fox continues to rock this town like a motherfker...!!!

GIG REVIEW
Monster Magnet + Karma To Burn @ Koko - 06/12/09
How refreshing was it that Monster Magnet played at Camden's Koko, with no new album to promote? The set list was open to the wildest guesses... and hopes...
Opening was the awesome Karma to Burn (6/10). The instrumental rock collective was lost to the world when they disbanded but thankfully they recently reformed. Their set was fast, loud and tight, and for those of you who are not familiar with the band, totally instrumental. The line up was the original one of William Mecum (guitar), Rich Mullins (bass) and Rob Oswald (drums). They were the perfect warm up act for Monster Magnet, oozing dark thick energy, powerful loudness and undoubted musical skills. There's apparently new material ready, so stay tuned for the next Karma To Burn album coming your way soon.
Monster Magnet (8) clearly had the intention to please their die hard fanbase, delivering a succession of old masterpieces which could've possibly made this one of their best shows.
Kicking off with the brilliant 'Dopes to Infinity' we were treated to a set of gems, like 'Crop Circle' and 'Powertrippin', delivered with the slickness the crowd (myself include) were hoping for. The leaders of space rock were definately at their best, pushing out classics like 'Space Lord' and a cover of Hawkwind's 'The Right Stuff'.
With the psychedelic light show, they glide through a set that is a fan's dream, finishing with their version of 'Spine of God'.
This gig was the perfect reminder of why we loved them all along. With a new album on the way our thirst for more may not have to wait that long.

GIG REVIEW
The Monday Hate Club @ Bull and Vic - 07/12/09
Conquest (7/10) opened the night with a raw mix of 70's rock and NWOBM bands of the 80's. The crunchy bass, high vocals and steady beats showed the band taking their Maiden influences down a slower, grinding route; a different direction to today's Power and Speed metal bands. Though their sound may seem old, their lyrics keep them up to date, with such songs as 'Dangerous City', a critique on 'those idiots who still insist on carrying knives for protection'. The manic and seemingly improvised solos were sadly lost amidst the heavy rhythm section, but overall a strong set.
The Huffmen (7) delivered a varied set of covers, paying their dues to the likes of Hendrix, the Chilli Peppers and RATM. Despite covering such a variety of musical styles, the band managed a crisp all-round sound, the guitar rising above the drums and bass for a variety of classic solos. One criticism could be that Heng-Suan's vocals were a little weak in places, but he easily made up for this with his energy.
Tragedy struck when, at the end of The Huffmen's set, the head amp belonging to Edd Amos from This Addiction (9) was damaged. In the tense break before their set, one expected to see them limp through their set, a crippled group already one guitarist down and now the present axeman missing a head amp. All these worries passed as soon as the band let rip. Matt bounded in and out of the stage area screaming like a rabid animal. Their thrash metal roar stayed strong and, despite the setbacks, Amos’ Impressive shreddery shone through.

METAL BLADE NEWS
WHITECHAPEL enters Audiohammer Studios to record follow up to 'This is Exile'!
Just home from touring with Trivium and Chimaira and closing out an extremely busy and successful year, Tennessee's WHITECHAPEL are now set to head into the studio December 27th to January 31st with infamous metal producer Jason Suecof (Trivium, All That Remains, The Black Dahlia Murder, Chimaira, DevilDriver and many more).
WHITECHAPEL are set to record the follow up to the band's crushing Metal Blade debut, This is Exile, at Jason's Orlando, FL based Audiohammer Studios. Be sure to stay tuned to WHITECHAPEL's and Metal Blade's sites as more information regarding guest vocalists, studio updates, and video updates will be posted throughout the band's recording process.
Guitarist and founding member Alex Wade comments: "We're really excited to announce that we will be hitting the studio in January with a producer who needs no introduction, Jason Suecof. Suecof has produced some of the most brutal metal albums to date and we are excited for him to get his hands on our new material to make it the heaviest music we've created thus far.
Also, Dusty Peterson has been signed on to handle the artwork duties. His dark, yet meticulously detailed style of hand drawn artwork is sure to bring out a truly vivid and brutal masterpiece. We really wanted our artwork for the record to speak as loudly for us as the music we are creating, thus, Dusty was picked for his unbelievably realistic and detailed hand drawn style. In this day and age where downloading a CD is as easy as typing the CD's name into a search bar, we wanted to make the artwork something creative and special for the fans who actually purchase the CD. Almost like owning a piece of art.
As for the title and tracklisting, you'll just have to wait for that as the CD comes closer to completion."
This is Exile was unleashed on July 8th, 2008, and debuted at #118 on the Billboard top 200 charts, #2 on Billboard's Top Heatseekers, and #14 on Billboard's Top Independent albums. An accomplishment that is impressive for veteran artists, much less a relatively brand new metal act.
WHITECHAPEL is:
Phil Bozeman - Vocals
Ben Savage - Guitar/Leads
Alex Wade - Guitar
Zach Householder - Guitar
Gabe Crisp - Bass
Kevin Lane – Drums
