You heard! The very last indie night at the Rat and Parrot. DJs will be playing new and old indie favourites and expect some big songs to end the night in style. Free entry for all.

Darkness finally decends on Bexleyheath. As a one off celebration of all things dark and decadent Darkcore enters the Rat and Parrot. The dark delights include an Ann Summers fashion show, a fiendish fashion show (Gravesend goth store) and DJs playing a mix of seductively dark tunes for your consumption. Expect the likes of Sisters of Mercy, Nine Inch Nails, Type O Negative, Faces of Sarah, 69 Eyes and VNV Nation as well as a selection of the best rock and metal classics to echo around the darkness.

Optional dress code of burlesque, moulin rouge and gothic horror. Best dressed competition.

Surely, this years Bloodstock festival is adding up to be the best 'metal' festival of the year. Held at Catton Hall in south Derbyshire, the festival returns for its sophomore year. See the official Bloodstock Open Air 2007 website for more detailed information on opening times and ticket prices.

With Rock Matrix local event nights now seeing over 1000 people a week, Rock Matrix now feels that it has taken the event nights as far as it can on its own, but fully believes that these nights can be even bigger and better. Therefore and after years of working with Blacktie Promotions all the Rock Matrix events will be passed to Andy and Nat of BTP to be managed from 1st June. As part of the collaboration there will be a celebratory hand over week from Sunday 1st July, culminating in the 4 year ROCK NIGHT party at the Rat n Parrot on Thursday July 5th which will be free entry for all!

This collaboration is a chance to put this area on the map forever and be recognised as the best scene in the country. Rock Matrix will be working behind the scenes to forge relationships and build stronger offerings to all the bands, venues and attendees to the nights it promotes.
