What you give:

• You agree to play 1 gig minimum per band (+2 more if successful in heats)
• You pay a deposit of £10 each per band member fully returnable
• You supply personal info to make you fully contactable
• You consider what this platform can become, beyond this year!
• You have some level of ambition and competence to take advantage of what we are offering and you understand the terms and condition upon entering.

There is NO catch, it's technically FREE ENTRY to the platform and comes with a feck load of stuff you can take advantage of. Its simply the best way to get your band noticed over the next 4 months.

The CD: A track charge of £5 per band member will be taken from the deposit if the band wished to be part of the compilations with a per track value charge of £1 per track # in reverse of the track 20, i.e. track #1 £20, track#7 £13, Track#20 £1 etc (Free if recording at Jigga Jam studios)

Deposits: Will be fully returnable (£10) or in part (£5 )of CD has been utilised by the band, this money will be in cash and can be claimed form the 1st June until 31st July at which point it will be donated to charity of our choice. (Last year we raised £1250 from the Band Quest via donations.)

Following on from fine efforts by fellow Gravesenders Denounce and Silent Descent, Cursed As Angels release a quality debut album.

Over the past 2 years Cursed As Angels have built up a strong local following thanks to their impressive live shows and collection of songs. An award from TotalRock radio in 2007 was followed by one of their most impressive performances at the Bloodstock festival this summer gone. This all led nicely to the release of 'The Hanging Tree'.

Crushing openers 'And so it has been...' and 'War' cram everything you like about Cursed As Angels into two songs. Chugging riffs are backked up with highly melodic choruses thanks to the distintive vocal of Omen Jinx. There is no let up as 'Scream all you want' blares out from the speakers, threatning to encite a mosh pit wherever you may be listening to it. The song is driven by an almost mechanical drumming style. The title track and 'Stand alone' have melody spilling out from them before you are met with the dual female/Omen vocal attack on 'The puzzle box'. 'Rise up' sounds like an old friend having heard it so many times over the past few years. Next up is 'Bleeding hearts' which was featured on the Scratch The Surface metal compilation ealier this year. On penaltimate track 'Only a fool breaks the two second rule' we see more aggression as seen at the start of the album, while 'Soul searchers' is well placed as the album closer.

What is most impressive about this album is that it gets better after every listen. The whole album is laced with some quality guitar work which at times sounds similar to icon-era Paradise Lost, while Omen Jinx puts on an excellent vocal display throughout.

Cursed As Angels have successfully put all of the good bits of their last 2 years onto this disc and made an album which can stand proud alongside the excellent releases from both Denounce and Silent Descent.

Watch out world, the Gravesend 3 are coming!

Metal Blade Records has announced the signing of Las Vegas' MOLOTOV SOLUTION. The band's new album was recorded by Kelly Cairns and mixed by the duo of Tim Lambesis and Daniel Castleman at Lambesis Studios (SWORN ENEMY, IMPENDING DOOM, WAR OF AGES) in San Diego, California. Mastering was handled by Alan Douches at West West Side Music.

Commented Metal Blade president Mike Faley: "MOLOTOV SOLUTION is a musical assault on your senses, bombastic music with social and politically charged lyrics. That is as incendiary as it gets."

MOLOTOV SOLUTION embodies the DIY attitude and strong work ethic shared by their peers on Metal Blade as well as the ability to compose music that causes pits to erupt in every city they play. More tours and shows are on deck as the band prepares for the release of the album.

"We are extremely proud to be added to the legendary Metal Blade family!" the group said in a statement. "Being signed to a major metal label has always been one of the hopes and dreams of this band, and signing to one as accomplished and dedicated as Metal Blade is very exciting. We would like to thank Metal Blade and our management, The Artery Foundation, for being so patient this last year and making this dream a reality. As for the new album, you can expect a huge improvement from the last one. The band has progressed to new levels of writing and the songs will be heavier than they've ever been and more aggressive as a whole. This is the proudest and most excited [we] have ever felt about a release. Huge thanks goes out to Tim Lambesis, Daniel Castleman, and Kelly 'The Carnage' Cairns at Lambesis Studios for being so amazing to work with and putting great effort towards making our new album an amazing release."

MOLOTOV SOLUTION's new album is scheduled for release in the summer.
